1. First, make the ice cream. Combine all of the components in a big bowl, then spoon into a big lidded freezer-proof container and freeze till strong (about 1½-2 hours).
2. Tip the combination into your meals processor and whizz to a thick, slushy purée. Return to the container and freeze once more till strong. Repeat this course of twice extra at 1 to 2-hour intervals.
